Neighbors:

Thank you to those who have reached out. We understand it’s disappointing to delay the pool opening—it’s not what anyone wanted. Your volunteer Trustees and neighbors have been working hard to avoid it, but unfortunately, we’re limited by circumstances outside of our control.

A major leak in the Lap Pool turned out to be worse than expected, requiring additional repairs. Only two local firms could handle this work, and we’re already using the best available. April’s heavy rain caused construction delays across the region, and since we’re a small project, we’ve had to wait our turn. This has now been completed.

In addition, our final task is to replaster the Lap Pool, which we hope will be completed this week. The weather delayed the prepping for this project.

We considered opening just the Z Pool, but due to safety concerns—including uncured concrete and chemicals—we ruled that out. Safety is our top concern, and the pool area does not provide that right now.

Once construction is done, cleaning and prep can begin. We promise you that your volunteer trustees are working hard to open the pool as soon as possible. None of us take any joy in letting our neighbors down. If you’re passionate about helping, we’d love to have you assist with cleanup when we’re able to get into the pool area. In regards to chairs- we have been working to get more loungers. There are many factors to consider in this big purchase. At this time, all residents are welcome to bring in their own chairs.
